Product DescriptionTamanu, also known as Foraha, is a shrub indigenous to Southeast Asia. Twice a year Tamanu blooms with white flowers which transform into clusters of yellowish green fruit. The fruit is similar to an apple but with a large nut in the center. The nut contains a pale kernel, called "punnai". The kernel is sun dried until it becomes sticky, dark, thick and rich oil. |
Application | Apply undiluted to small areas of severe irritation twice daily or apply diluted to larger areas of the body like massage oil. Work into skin well as excess left on skin may stain clothes or sheets. |
Tip | Can also be applied like a salve and covered with bandage for more severe burns or irritation. |
